When God got ahold of me, everything changed.

It was Good Friday of 2018. I had been arrested due to a manic reaction to a medication my doctor/best friend's mom had convinced me, rather aggressively, to try. In the holding cell that day, I met Jesus through a prostitute.
If that's not God, I don't know what is.
I spent two days in voluntary suicide watch and was released on Easter knowing God. I was changed. I started searching for a local church and even attended a 3-day women's church retreat. I learned very quickly that I absolutely LOVED God. I, however, had an extremely hard time getting connected and ended up falling away from the church for multiple years.
What I was missing was community.
It took 4.5 years and me hitting my life's rock bottom to finally reach out to someone who knew God and that phone call was the greatest decision I've ever made.
